Transformative Learning Module Development

As artificial intelligence (AI) becomes more integrated into daily life, it brings both opportunities and challenges—especially in how Black identity is represented and shaped online. This workshop delves into the impact of digital technology, AI-driven data collection, and algorithmic biases that reinforce stereotypes and systemic discrimination.

Objective

Participants will co-create engaging educational modules that blend historical context, intergenerational insights, and digital literacy. This process empowers communities to develop resources that promote ethical technology use, preserve cultural stories, and inspire lifelong learning.

What to Expect

Module Mapping: Collaborative selection of themes and topics that reflect diverse experiences and priorities.
Content Creation: Developing multimedia materials—videos, slides, and storytelling resources—to make learning accessible and engaging.
Pilot Testing: Sharing draft modules with peers for real-time feedback and improvement.
Final Revisions and Launch: Refining materials and preparing for public release and community use.
Certificate of Completion: Participants will be recognized for their creativity, collaboration, and commitment to building inclusive learning tools.
