The Chez Parenting Program
Welcome to our parenting program, you may feel that your family is the only one struggling . While all families are unique, you are not alone. our parental group living provides children and youth with a secure and safe living environment that addresses referral issues and on-going needs of the individual and potentially, their family
In this continuum of care, the program may serve as a short-term and/or longer term placement option which allows
the biological family time and resources to resolve the issues creating a barrier to the children and/or youth
living at home and/or with extended family.
Within the framework of family centered care, the programming
consists of supports designed to further develop the basic skills of the persons served and their family (if
involved) to normalize a family environment and address issues including communication, anger
management, conflict resolution, peers relationships and family issues.
Our Parenting Programs
Parent support group – This a weekly informal group is where you can discuss parenting in a safe family environment. Our Parenting support group program is designed to offer support and guidance to parents who are facing challenges in raising their children. The group provide a safe and supportive environment where parents can share their experiences, thoughts, and feelings with others who are in similar situations. They offer a platform for parents to learn from each other and gain valuable insights into parenting. The main goal of our parenting support group program is to help parents develop effective parenting skills and to provide them with the support they need to deal with the challenges of raising children.
Parent education group – Our Parenting education programs are designed to provide parents with the knowledge and skills they need to raise their children effectively. These programs are aimed at helping parents understand child development, improve communication skills, and develop positive discipline strategies. The curriculum of these programs include topics such as child development, effective communication, positive discipline, stress management, and relationship building. Our Parenting education programs are offered in various formats, including classes, workshops, and online courses. These programs are usually facilitated by trained professionals, such as psychologists, social workers, or parenting experts, who have extensive experience in working with families and children. By participating in our parenting education program, parents can develop the confidence and skills they need to effectively navigate the challenges of parenthood and build strong, healthy relationships with their children.
Compassionate Parenting – Our compassionate parenting program is designed to help parents cultivate a more nurturing and understanding approach to parenting. The programs focus on teaching parents how to be more patient, understanding, and emotionally attuned to their children’s needs. The curriculum of our compassionate parenting program include topics such as emotional intelligence, mindfulness, communication skills, and empathy. Mom and Baby Time – Our Mom and Baby Time is a program designed for new mothers and their infants. This program provides a supportive and nurturing environment for mothers to bond with their babies, connect with other new mothers, and learn about baby care and development. The programs include activities such as parent-child playtime, storytelling, and discussions about parenting challenges. This program is facilitated by trained professionals, such as pediatricians, lactation consultants, or social workers, and provide a valuable resource for new mothers as they navigate the challenges of early motherhood.
In-home Parenting Developmental Skills – This program provide support and education to parents in the comfort of their own homes. The program include in-home visits by our trained professional who works with the parents to develop effective parenting skills and strategies. Topics covered may include child development, communication, stress management, and positive discipline. The goal of this program is to help parents create a nurturing and supportive home environment, build strong relationships with their children, and effectively navigate the challenges of parenthood. Our In-home parental development skill program offer the added convenience and flexibility of receiving support and education without leaving the comfort of home.
