Active for All - Culturally Inclusive Sports & Safe Spaces for All

As sport and recreation spaces strive to become more inclusive, issues of race, culture, gender identity, and representation remain central to the conversation. This session addresses the need for equity and safety for all participants, especially those from marginalized and racialized communities.

Objective

Participants will explore how to create culturally responsive and inclusive environments in sports and recreation. Through open, community-led dialogue, this session will examine the systemic barriers that impact racialized and marginalized athletes and provide actionable steps for fostering safe, respectful, and empowering spaces.
