The Chez was founded to foster a positive community for clients while providing client-centered support for where they are in their journey. We are focused on the provision of safety, stability and nurturing to help our clients at every stage of their journey, The Chez provides opportunities to enhance their growth, strengthen connections and therefore, the achievement of their potential development.
Vision
The Chez’s vision is to inspire positive experience and enhance individual development in attaining optimum potentials.
We work with our clients in their journey to transcend trauma through culturally and trauma informed approaches to creating a safe, healthy, family-like, tranquil and therapeutic home-based environment as close to community support and resources as possible.
Mission Statement
The Chez is dedicated to the mission of providing a stable long-term residence where children, youth and adults can feel safe and trust in their surroundings, and achieve the skills and courage to see their future in a more positive light

All persons are gifts and their healthy development is the responsibility of the whole community;

include Aunties, Uncles, Elders, friends and cousins, or community members we choose as our own

Youth deserve predictable boundaries and consequences as taught through logical and natural consequences
All people can heal from trauma through appropriate guidance and a healthy environment;
Youth will be provided with tools and resources to achieve a healthy and vibrant lifestyle, develop
confidence in understanding holistic healing including love, integrity, respect, sharing and support
All people are equal regardless of their color, size or look. Each person deserves to be treated fairly and
with respect despite their past, present or the outlook of their future
Clients and families deserve a high standard of trained helpers when living in a program outside of their
home that will assist in our pursuit of healing and independence.
Each human has an emotional, intellectual, physical and spiritual aspect to their being and when a human
has been injured, it affects all parts of their being. Helping means being able to understand the effects of
the injury and the healing of the whole being
All persons deserve healthy relationships with one another and to be supported in the reintegration with
their families through home visits, cultural assistance (if applicable), support with other assets such as
community resources, follow-up and/or referral services
Every person deserves to live free of addictions and live as whole beings;
Youth deserve adaptable care providers and programs to suit their uniqueness;
