Supporting African and Afro-Caribbean Immigrants at Chezliving
At Chezliving, our dedicated outreach team provides crucial support to African and Afro-Caribbean immigrants, particularly those facing language barriers. Our outreach workers, fluent in the languages of the communities they serve, are embedded within these communities to ensure that every client receives personalized assistance.
Female Community Navigator:
Our female outreach worker collaborates closely with the African Food Bank and Afro-Caribbean communities in Edmonton. She assists immigrants from diverse African and Caribbean backgrounds by offering settlement services, connecting clients to essential resources, and empowering them to navigate their new environment confidently. Her work also includes promoting career planning through English and computer skills training, supporting children’s education, and educating families about the importance of vaccinations and allergy awareness.
Male Community Navigator:
The male outreach worker primarily supports senior African and Afro-Caribbean immigrants, helping them navigate government services and access the resources they need. He also organizes weekly senior group sessions, fostering a supportive community where participants can share experiences, exchange information, and address common challenges in their new environment.
Why Choose Chezliving:
Our specialized outreach program ensures that the unique needs of African and Afro-Caribbean immigrants are met, fostering a supportive and inclusive community where every individual can thrive.
