Building Inclusive Communities
Event Description
As systemic racism continues to affect institutions, policies, and lived experiences across Alberta, this workshop equips participants with tools to understand its roots and actively contribute to dismantling it. Through education and collaborative dialogue, attendees will explore how inclusive communities are built from awareness, advocacy, and action.
Objective
Participants will gain a deeper understanding of how systemic racism operates across sectors—education, employment, housing, and healthcare—and explore effective strategies to challenge and transform these systems. The goal is to move from awareness to action through informed, community-based efforts.
